Best mega-event ever?

First time trying to step up to masochistic level as the Yor, and it's going about as expected: rough.  The Torians are everywhere, the Drath recently began their ascent to godhood (on the other side of the map, other side of the Torians), these are problems.  Wondering if it was a waste of money to build counter-espionage centers everywhere...

Then the best event ever happens.  Spies descend on everyone, shutting down factories, etc.  Everyone but me, that is.  About 15 did get through on more recently conquered/colonized planets, but I had ten spies in reserve, so no big problem there. Everyone else is debilitated.

Suffice to say I will always, always, always get to work on those c/e centers at an early stage.  This was a lovely surprise.

I can say I've had the WORST mega-event ever.   I was two clicks of the "Turn" button away from an Influence victory, when the Jagged Knife event happened and took half my planets.

The "disease" event has pretty much the same effect on the AI that the spy event does, because they won't stop their current research to get the cure until the current research is completed. The difference is that if you have the ability to uncripple specific AIs if you choose to, by selling them the cure.
