Last person to post wins, unless they are a moderator or admin.

Basically, this game is played so that the last person who post wins. What do they win? The ThreadKiller's Achievement; The honor of being the last person to post by virtue of the content of their post. However, moderators, admins, and anyone else who has the ability to lock the thread are disqualified from winning the ThreadKiller's Achievement, if they win by locking. If the thread is won by method of locking, the "winner" gains the Achievement Of Reprehensible Epic Lameness.

Well, I can see what tesb means, in that they get involved in all that stuff, but much like electing a government official, at least you have a choice. And there really is no limit on what you believe, just the support nearby.

As for my statement, I wasn't referring to monotheism and polytheism. I was thinking more along the lines that western religions (ranging from Egyptian to Bahaism) tend toward a god which can be quantified in some way, usually depicted as a person. If not that, they at least have a general human trait, such as the ability to plan, desire, etc.

Not that it really matters. As I stated above, I can believe whatever I want.

thanks for the small amount of heat in the pic, but we NEED a LOT more to remove the deep freeze outside.

and this catch of fish will be put outside for about 1/2 to 3/4 hour then will be kept for the cyats.

@carbon

What I'm going to do is go to school; graduate. Soon after,  get a job so I can save little money and get married. After that, I'm making some kids with my ol'lady. Raise them kids. Train them to be a-holes and have them write something clever in this tread to have the best come back to your retort!

There, control-SEVEN FTW

Fuck Gore.  That piece of shit laughed at a serious threat back in '87 brought to him by Colonel North about Osama Bin Laden.  Along with Clinton did nothing about the bombings of multiple US embassies, did nothing about the bombing of a US warship, did everything they could to get the Israelis to release a bunch of political prisoners, including one who had killed people before who thanked us by flying a fucking plane into the Twin Towers.  And you idiots blame Bush for war?  Look at the two morons who were in charge the years prior who let all of these other things go unchecked.

Relax,

If you want to blame someone for this mess look into Regan. He is the one who financed and supported Bin Laden! (and the Bin Laden Family). Clinton and Gore had to clean his and Bush Sr.'s mess. But I agree, why should we pay por Israel's sins. We are Americans, God damn it!

Clinton and Gore didn't clean up anything. They just let it fester and then it popped on Bushy Jrs. watch. Actually this whole thing can be tied all the way back to the aftermath of WWII when America and Russia started sniping at each other and began using proxies (aka Taliban, Bin Laden, etc.) as the bullets. Both Democratic and Republican presidents from then on are to be blamed.

It's not about paying for Israel's sins. Hell, if Israel didn't exist, they would still hate us for not being Muslim. It's about taking them seriously and fucking over anyone who decides to show themselves as a genocidal fucktard. Personally, I can think of a few presidents I can give points for this and this they did right, but generally they are all dicks. Welcome to politics.

Don't forget back before WWI when the western powers were already trying to secure oil sources in the Middle East. Britain was making a bad name for us then.

True, but I had to stop at some point and WWII was when America began taking a more direct approach in world affairs.

Blame John D. Rockefeller. In 1870, him and some other oil mongrels created the new oil industry; forcing out and incorporating most of the US’s oil start ups. They soon realized the Middle East was ripe for stealing.

Similar to what China is now doing with Africa. They bring investment for 3rd world infrastructure in trade for oil reserves. And we all know where that investment goes to. Corrupt government officials and other elite casts. Which creates dissent among the poor.

Well, to put this in perspective. This issue has nothing to do with government but with people. This is all about greed!

Just like Steamworks is taking over DRM. The one with the most money wealds the hammer.

It won't be.

There will always be someone who wants something for nothing, or at least for as cheap as possible. Therefore there will always be someone who will bend/break the rules in order to provide such service for their own profit.

Well, since the laws and the manpower are finally being put into place, I'd say it has a damn good chance of making a significant dent.  I'm sure it'll take plenty of time to ramp up though.

A dent maybe

Stopping it? Nope, ain't going to happen short of changing peoples base mindsets.

Look, I have as much faith as anyone that people can change for the better. I truly hope there is some validity to that thought, but I do not expect people to hold up to that hope and I certainly do not expect to see the transformation come to completion within my lifetime. I fully expect people to screw one another over for selfish reasons, and try my best to wait until it comes to pass before I judge, lest I be the harbinger of paranoia.

Well some people can change but others choose not too.
