Last person to post wins, unless they are a moderator or admin.

Basically, this game is played so that the last person who post wins. What do they win? The ThreadKiller's Achievement; The honor of being the last person to post by virtue of the content of their post. However, moderators, admins, and anyone else who has the ability to lock the thread are disqualified from winning the ThreadKiller's Achievement, if they win by locking. If the thread is won by method of locking, the "winner" gains the Achievement Of Reprehensible Epic Lameness.

cool, well the temps are supposed to be dropping off by the end of the week (about 100) but it will be warm

HEY!

I'm coming from Nashville.

It's 91 with a 89% humidity. THAT is hot for us.

Arizona is sizzling compared to the weather here. Of course you are probably used to it.

Ue Carbon.

I lived there most of my life till I moved to Jersey outside of NYC in '07.

Ue Carbon lives here?

Do you know what part?

That I don't know, I used to live right off Nolansville Rd. I moved just after they competed the Super Wal-Mart there.

I think Carbon lives near Nashville (I know he was affected by the floods that happened there) and has mentioned going there a couple of times to do things

but yeah you kinda get used to the heat, the the monsoons kick in in July and the temps stay the same with higher humidity

Heh

I could see the flood from my house.

I live near Bellevue.

Yeah, same reason for me not posting, but nothing about being near you guys.

As in, Bellevue, Nashville, TN

Yeah, I'm just pointing out my exclusion to this conversation.

Oh, I misunderstood your statement.

Sorry.

No prob. So... since you're the only one popping about right now, how's Nashville?

Great, I still have to go out and occasionally help someone with their flood cleanup. It was amazing, there was so much devastation around here. It kind of shocks you to see such. The air is tainted with the smell of rotting vegetation, the grass is dead and gray, mud squelches on your shoes wherever you go, the roads are torn and tossed around, houses are missing their insides, and trash is piled up in front of houses. It is "the most devastating event since the Civil War." Caused over 2.5 billion dollars in damage. Of course, Nashville received HUGE support and assistance from nearby areas, which lowered the need for news coverage, and also caused many people to not realize how bad it was. I personally saw people break down in tears from the overwhelming damage to their houses. It was amazing and depressing.

I spent two straight weeks cleaning up stuff nearby, and just finished a project on a baseball field. Our house is on a hill and was spared from the flood. Nashville will never be the same. The Titan's stadium was filled with water, the Grand Ole' Opry and the Gaylord Luxury Hotel were all incredibly damaged, and that is where a lot of the monetary loss sits.

Anyway, currently it is about 88 and sunny. Everything is normal, at least for us.

Um... good for you. I assume when you say "the most devastating event since the Civil War", we're just talking locally. As for the rest... good luck? Sounds like they'll be working all that out for some time. But the good news is that you're probably in a better condition to handle than say New Orleans after Katrina, just in that you're population is not a lot of criminals and deviants.

And hopefully you manage to get the touristy stuff fixed quick so you get the local economy rolling.

um you know -Ue_Carbon lives there but you say that :P

I just went off on my first rant.

Sorry.

I dont know any criminals, but I have a limited contact rate. I go to a community college, and there are only strange people there, not criminals.

rants are fine. Well, just saying that I've lived in New Orleans and know that it was just as bad off before Katrina as it was after. So I'm sure Nashville will recover quicker just cause it's not a festering hole.

And Carbon hardly brings down the average.

I know, but I had to bring it up
