Basically, this game is played so that the last person who post wins. What do they win? The ThreadKiller's Achievement; The honor of being the last person to post by virtue of the content of their post. However, moderators, admins, and anyone else who has the ability to lock the thread are disqualified from winning the ThreadKiller's Achievement, if they win by locking. If the thread is won by method of locking, the "winner" gains the Achievement Of Reprehensible Epic Lameness.

Forgot about the German thing. Um, can't think of any equivalent in 'proper English'. I guess maybe 'sour puss' would be close. Or maybe just 'pessimist'. Something like that. I think the 'negative' part is really the meat of it.

I didn't really think we had a 'discussion' going about the funeral. Most of the talk has been Xer07 bitching and whining... I mean, pointing out the finer points of another's failings. But hey, the funeral is up to the dead man, which is ironic cause he'll have trouble seeing it through.

i don't think a funeral is for the dead, but rather for the living. seems more logical to me.

(the funeral is in honor of the dead, but the actual ceremony is put up and attended by the living)

i don't think you are ignoring their personality if you don't  implement every crazy idea that person has.

 

the people who will remember the funeral are  the bereaved so there is really no point to implement such an idea, if most of the bereaved do not like it (like his wife for example)

 

of course if this was i funeral with his viking /celtic friends sure go ahead, but don't embarrass the wife, kids etc.

I actually prefer it when Kryo locks a post, it hints at why it was locked so I don't have to re-read it.  Also a little more personal.  Anyone ele locks it you're like WTF?  That was random...  At least when Kryo does it he kinda closes it as well, and refers you to JU.  Almost like he likes the topics but has to close em to do his job...but i don't think that's it...  (i just can't help it.  If I see a locked topic, I immediately open it...)
