FTL Travel? Possible or no?

Hey guys!

My first post on this site ever but I want to say what a fun site this is.

But Back to my hypothetical question, Do you believe that FTL (Faster Than Light) travel is possible? If so, why do you. I would think that it is possible, as there are countless shortcuts that bypass the know laws of physics (Hyperspace/subspace, Tachyonic info travel, Quantum uncertainty manipulation, the list goes on and on and on...). If you intend to answer my question please try to back it up with some simple math, if possible. Thanks

Oh and by the way, this topic relates to galciv2 due to the fact that FTL travel is a staple of science fiction, and Galactic Civilizations is a sci-fi game. so yeah.

You would need a couple of billion stars that never ran out.

*Im about to sound like a nerd* Technically No not in THIS dimension However in the fifth dimension of Energy there is no mass and no true 'matter' therefore travel is many many times faster just like in galactic civ however you still need an engine * something to propel you* to get through the energy the difference is there are pockets/packets of pure void like space *unlike in this dimension where space holds energy or bits of matter* that you can simply jump over however energy from stars goes into the fifth dimension as well therefore it is difficult to navigate safely unless one has a proper chart of the stars and celestrial ages/alignments but Yes According to Recent Quantum Scientific Theory it is possible.

PS: Just realized how old this post was Sorry i just was going through a profile and i spotted this question being the kind of person i am i couldn't resist coming to give an answer my apologies for necroing.
