1.05.69 reports as 1.044

from Stardock Forums
Just finished a game using 1.05.69, it reported
as a 1.044 game with the same scoring method(or at least
the score needed to be modified by ^.75 to get the actual
score the metaverse reported).

Though many of the changes where included from 1.05, such
as the new governers list etc.

Yeah, I reinstalled the game because someone posted here that Stardock had inadvertently deleted some people's files. When I updated the game from stardock it says I have the latest update(1.5) but when I look on the menu screen ingame it says 1.4.

What is up with that?

If this is the case, I'm glad I've spent the evening watching Comedy Central and generating Excel graphs rather than playing on my current game. Dangit, I must learn my lesson: never update without archiving first, no governors is better than the godawful scoring method of 1.044.

Oh well, if they don't get an update out tomorrow to fix this, I guess I'm going to have to find something else to do this weekend, that or try the stand alone of 1.04 in the mean time.

Just got bit by the 1.044/1.05 bug myself. Looking forward to a sweet 15000 score and smacked in the face with 1000.... :p As is the case with Staffa, submitting with pre-gov 1.05 patch worked fine, while the gov patch for version 1.05 seems to have caused the prob.

Same problem for me.

The first 1.05 release was working fine, but since the last update, it submits back to 1.044 with its wimpy scores...

This happened to me last night, but I thought it was because I used a game that was begun in 1.04

Staffa, I know you had done that too, was this the same game or was this one purely 1.05? Anyone else?

I reported in the metaverse submission thread last night, but assumed that was the issue, as I had a few other odd problems.

Yea, merge problem. I'm putting up a new build that re-reports itself as 1.05. Sorry about that.

You can re-submit your saved games started with 1.05 (reported as 1.044) and it should update itself.

With the new "save prior to end of game" feature, will this allow resubmission of cultural victories without waiting 12 months? Guess I'll have to try and see :p

Thanks Brad. I would like to mention though that I tried to load the automatic endgame save and after loading the game just sat there. I tried to hit the turn button but it just turned into the clock face and stuck. Anybody else have this happen?

Tried it, still reports as 1.04 in options screen
and the submitted game data still lacks the ^.75, also
didnt update the score :)

Brad, I just tried it, and the game still submitted as 1.044 :notsure:

1.05.70 definitely reports itself as 1.05 here. I've tried it on 3 different machines.

I talked to Pat and he says he'll be changing flags so that you can resubmit 1.044 games from today/yesterday.

Staffa, I think what he might mean is that the flag on the game record in the database has to be reset because the program won't override the existing version information which says the game should be 1.044.

Once that is removed, we can resubmit, and assuming the game does properly say it is 1.05, the score should then be recorded correctly.

Well, it still has the funky ^.75 and the option
screen still says 1.04, even for a fresh new game.
