Well, I posted in the bug report thread before I saw this, but I'm getting the same crash as Towelly. New game and first turn.

Does anyone know how to revert to an earlier version?

There's a lot of us getting that, I posted the debug.err contents in the bug report thread.

Yep - me too - new game, first turn, as soon as I try to add something to the governors list (double clicking), repeatable crash. I smart exceptioned it in a few times.

Just add a me-too to this thread. Started my first game under 1.05, went to add Soil Enhancement and, bam, hello desktop, repeatedly. After about 4 CTDs in a row I figured it must be trend.

I'll post the rather sparse Smart Exception data to the appropriate spot.

I always got error messages below after downloading 1.05 by SDC. Never got a chance to run the game.

Error: Invalid chunk data. Redownloading chunk 0 (attempt 1)
Error: Invalid chunk data. Redownloading chunk 0 (attempt 2)
Error: Invalid chunk data. Redownloading chunk 0 (attempt 3)
Result: Failed (attempt 1)

Would installing the traditional 1.04 patch over 1.05 turn the whole thing to bollocks and force a reinstall? If not, we might as well just do that until this gets fixed.

No, there must be some bug. Very odd as it didn't happen on my system. But email [email protected] and let him know. We should be able to do another update tomorrow.

Now if all you guys would dress up, act nicely instead of all slappy drunk heathen when you go to see the guv, maybe he wouldn't kick you out.

I have the same problem. Even on new games.

The same problem for me as well. I've had to rely on the generic governor, and it's only useful for fast games where long-term planning isn't really needed.

i'm guessing ctd means crash to desktop & i have that problem with governers well, i posted in the bugs thread before. he will probably get a few emails so i wont bother sending my saved game for the moment unless he wants it. i tried resetting my pc & starting a new game & got the same thing again so it's repeatable.

Dito,I also note that objects from the build list that had already been built,(eg teleporters had been in governors build priority list prior to patching, post patch they have been removed from the list and were available to be added to list again, hope that makes sense) also that the build priority number was no longer present.

Thought this might a problem due incompatable versions, ie save game from earlier version but a fresh game causes automatic CTD when I get tothe governor screen and touch build list.

Hope they fix this one soon!

Im also experiencing crashes after updating to 1.05. However, my game crashes at the Race Setup Screen when I start a new game and at the loading screen when I load a saved game. :notsure:
