Please help, this is really bugging me

This happens during a game, i scroll up with the mouse-wheel or move my mouse to the edge of the screen to move the camera, and then the camera just constantly moves in one direction, I can't do anything at all.. it just moves all the time (and no i'm not doing it myself!), i try everything, rotating the camera around, pressing down on the mouse-wheel, pressing down both mouse buttons at the same time.. none of those work.. even if I go on to next turn, select a ship, select a planet and go into it or press escape, it will always continue to do this.

I searched for ages for this in Bug forum and in google search but it seems like i'm the only one with this problem..

If anyone knows at all how to stop this I'd be really grateful!

btw I'm playing on Twilight of the Arnor on Galactic Civilizations 2: Ultimate Edition, and bought and installed this today.

I had similar issues with a different game, I know how annoying it can be.  Unfortunately the cause/cure was specific to that game so it won't be any help here.

I know they added some new camera options in Twilight of the Arnor.  The reason I mention this is I think I remember seeing some options related to the new camera behavior in the game's options; look through there and see if changing those settings helps.

It would also be a good idea to send this to [email protected] since these forums don't see too much traffic these days and the official support staff doesn't come here often.  If it turns out to be a bug in the game, then emailing them is the fastest way to bring it to the attention of the developers.

Thanks for the reply:)

I've found a way to stop it happening (by moving my mouse very fast from side to side of the screen) but now I've found another bug.. sometimes my turn key fades out when it's not supposed to, meaning I can never end my turn, saving the game and quitting then going back resolves this.. but now it's happening about every 5 turns and making the game really hard to play..

This turn button thing could be the result of the game waiting for you to tell your ships where to go.  Depending on what you set for autopilot in the game's options, when an autopilot ship is sitting out in space with moves left, or if one is on guard or sentry duty and 'sees' another ship, it will wait for a response from you.  The turn button not showing up is a way of notifying you of this.

So next time this happens:

Press the 'Tab' key to cycle through the ships/fleets that are 'waiting for orders'

Press the 'Space Bar' if you don't want to give orders to whatever ship/fleet is selected.

Once all the waiting ships have been given orders, the turn button should become available.

There are other things that will cause problems with the turn button, but I think those are bugs, so if what I described isn't relevant to your issue, email [email protected]

If what I've said above is what you are experiencing, and you find it annoying, you can disable this behavior by going into the Game Options screen and enable the option 'Skip Moves Left Over From Auto Pilot'
