Where do saved maps go?

I activated my cheat codes to save game maps.  I noticed two problems with the map editors.  First, I can't include custom opponents in a custom map if I'm playing a custom race myself.  I always do.  Second, and this is strictly "eye candy", the zero class planets are all brown, barren looking planets when you use the custom map.  There is no variety.  None of the gaseous looking, ice covered, or moon looking planets appear.  It becomes a galaxy of Earth-type or brown Vulcan-looking planets.  Here's my problem:  I want the ability to customize a map, with all the detail and custom opponents available.  Can someone tell me where the saved maps are located when you use cheat code "control + shift + G"?  Thanks.

One more obstacle preventing me from creating scenarios & campaigns for the X-Worlds mod too, in fact.

"G"? Never heard of it... it's reasonable to assume, you'd get a regular "saved" game structure though in the usual root folder of c:\Documents...(whatever your OS and game configuration details here); otherwise, it would seem logical that such files should prompt for file_naming (when cheated for) and be located in the installed directory of TA's "Tools/Maps" -- but i doubt it, since the editors are self-contained external assets without any connections to gameplay runtime-execution.

OK, please "dummy" your response down for me.  I followed most of what you said.  When hitting the control shift G, the screen says..."map saved successfully".  It has to be going somewhere?!?  When i open the map editor, it is not in there.  I don't have any idea where to look.  I have followed the path in the map editor window, but no luck.  Any ideas?

Oh, you wanted the whole path clearly spelled out;

c:(Whatever User is currently active)\MyDocuments\MyGames\GC2DarkAvatar (or TwilightArnor)\CustomMaps\....HERE!

If your OS is Vista.

There, better?

But, none will load in their map editor.
