Windowed mode, need help!

Hey, I'm enjoying Gal Civ, but I have a problem. I'd like to play the game in windowed mode. When I start galciv with 'galciv w', only the animations are shown in a smaller window. However the game doesn't run in the windowed mode. Can anyone help me? Many thanks in advance! :)

Your screen is probably set to 1024x768, which is what the game plays at, so it automatically goes full screen.

Yep, that's right, so there's no way I can play this game in a windowed mode?

Well, you could increase the resolution of your desktop.

1024 x 768 is the max. resolution, coz i'm playing on a notebook. Too bad I can't play on a windowed version then, I was excited about it.. :sniff!: but it still remains a great game :)
