Updateing Game

Ok, I haven't played this game in a few years and its apparently impossible to patch now.

 

I'm suppost to download something called Impulse I guess?  But the site is useless and has no 'download' section where I can actually download it.

 

So yeah, please post a detailed way to do it; or better a link to a site that just has a 'download to versian (most recent here)' button.  This is ridiculous how hard this is to patch.

PS:  I have Dreadlords if that makes a differance on how to patch the thing

Impulse is the successor to SDC which has been the only way to patch GC2 since the 1.4x update in late 2006. If you already registered the game previously, it is as simple as:

- Install Impulse.

- Run Impulse and log in with the Stardock/forums account that you registered the game to.

- Go to the My Games tab, pick GC2, and click the Update/Install button.

 

If you did not previously register it, all you need to do is click the Register Product button at the top of the My Games tab in Impulse and enter your email/serial key.

Thank you but its saying my key is invalid even though its exactly as it is on my case here.  Is it the email?  If so I really don't remember what email I used on it.

If you may have registered it previously and forgot what email you put it on, contact [email protected] and they can help you recover it.

When I try to register it I get 'Error: Ref 204'  and when I try to download updates I get 'Error: Ref 1' if that narrows it down
