I have founded a new Empire, the Republic. I would like to say that in no way is my Empire a hardcore gaming group, but rather a place to have fun, without having to worry about the competition. What's that you say? Republic? Hmmm.....we'll see what these slack-jawed yokels have to offer pitted against the might of the Masters of the Southern Hemisphere. Bring the BattleCruiser Waltzing Matilda around; I want them scanned on all frequencies. Make sure we have exploding sheep pods readied and the drop bears are fed and watered. We'll see about this "Republic"......

Hehe. I was really impressed by the Republic's ability to recruit so rapidly considering that it is not a Locality empire. But you really need more much men and battle experience to challenge the big boys.

See if you could take out Code Monkey's space spiders first. They should prove to be a worthy challenge.

I agree with Aadik. We play for the fun of it. Hell, I have to balance my SimCity 4 play time as well!! But it's nice to see that we are doing well enough to be in the rankings! :)

Hmmm. So you got a few....'like-minded' players to join The Republic, I see. Maybe I was wrong about your chances of recruiting well, all those weeks ago.

And it seems you dragged yourself from 57th. Maybe my derision was misplaced, all those weeks ago.

But one thing I do know, and that is that pride goeth before a fall! All this drivel of just having 'fun' and not being competitive on the Metaverse! Give us a break. No non-competitive, just-play-for-fun person would play Galciv and join an empire (or Republic). Um, would they? :notsure:

Ah, Your galaxy traveling President/Prime Minister/Primier/Dicta, uh "hem" Leader has returned from my journey to the Britanian galaxy! I see from the current rosters that we have grown, and it seems a stow-away native has come along back with me welcome Quiller9_UK!

I will make this the new official site listed on the metaverse for the Republic when it is finished. The site is still young and underconstruction so [email protected] me with any suggestions you have!

I think you have more warriors than politicians, fogman. There are despotic conquerors and then there are popular, politically-minded generals who look good while they take over the world. Give those members of yours some PR skills! They need to fight like warriors but think like celebrities by maintaining an image. Afterall, image and wealth are worth more than skill in winning elections. :)

I beg to differ, Wombie. With outstanding candidates and subjects like Maximus, Biggus Diccus and Princess Layya in the Republic, I can only see a bright future ahead for the Republic.

They even managed to squash the spiders temporarily under their feet before a new spider recruit chalked in a big sucidal (read:calkwalk) score.

But it seems that we are posting more than the Republicans themselves. Have they all gone into the War Room already?

Hmmm. We pretty well stacked their election. It's odd that they made it an open election, rather than keeping it for Republic members. Still, they're probably not too savvy with the politics yet, being young and all. Give 'em time in the hot box of Byzantium politics that is the Metaverse and they'll clue up fast, or crash.

Yoda's Light sabre duel has just killed the starwars series for me. It reminded me so much of the killer rabbit in Monty Python and the holy Grail. Comical. Just comical. Then I laughed even harder when I saw the documentary where they said they successfully avoided the scene being comical. Just don't watch the holy grail before that movie.
