While you are right about the programs he has running... iTunes for example is a huge pile of junk and hogs system resources well above resonable limits.

However just about everything else he complained about is 100% accurate and valid.  The game does crash randomly.  The Multiplayer lobby will randomly lag and freeze up.  Getting into games is pretty random.  And on top of all the problems he talked about... Once you finally get into a game, having ppl stay connected and lag free is a miracle.

As i've said before, I've got 3 friends running demigod and all of us have unique systems and different ISP's in different parts of the west coast.  And all four of us have issues connecting in games... GameRanger is by far the best option we've found... however its full of pirates so finding other ppl to play with is getting harder and harder.  I know they've lost TONS of customers after having released the game in this condiation... and I have a feeling that the next patch or two still won't fix enough to keep people around.  Only the most hard-core of GPG or Dock fans are going to stick around.

Quality is what matters when it comes to keeping customers happy.  WC3 is an AMAZING game... and because of that dota has every advantage in the world over demigod.  I would love nothing more than to see a game i paid for do well.

And the voice from the heavens said, "Thou must always keep thine computer vastly ahead of the system requirements, and close all background programs", and the gamers did, and it was good.

I know I've raged over a game a time or two myself.  But honestly, I don't know what's more shameful:

  1. That a grown man would actually record himself ranting about a computer game and post it to the internet,
  2. that I just spent listening to a grown man ranting about a computer game on the internet, or
  3. his absolutely ridiculous soul patch.

Yeesh.

A nine minute video of a twentysomething complaining about his inability to properly connect to a videogame.

I swear, the Entitlement Generation is going to run this planet into the ground.
