GalCivII Ultimate Several Race Problems

Hello,

I recently bought GalCivII-Ultimate Edition und updated it via Impulse to version 2.02. I'm running it without mods.

Unfortunately I have several race-issues:

When I tried to run a Metaverse-game I was told that my custom race had an invalid race setting (maxed-out diplomacy). When i changed the setting (from super-diplomat to super-trader), i could play as normal, but when i kept exactly that config for the next game it was all of a sudden invalid, too.

After that i chose the Terran Alliance, just to get the invalid race config message again.

After that i changed some stats of the T.A., but every config i tried with the T.A. was invalid.

After that -to my horror- GalCivII kept my changes for the T.A. - i could not get the original T.A.-config back.

Then i deinstalled the game, deleted all folders left, and reinstalled the game again via impulse, but the changed T.A. config was still there. Then i tried to save the T.A. config from the Campaign in order to load it for the normal games- with the effect that the capaign now uses "custom race" instead of the T.A. (and the race config was not saved).

So please, please help me:

1) How do i get the original Terran Alliance back for the Games and the Campaigns?

2) What is a valid race config for the Metaverse (when even the T.A. was invalid)?

I don't know how metaverse works, but you can restore the default race characteristics by hitting the 'clear' button when you're setting bonus points. The race configuration files are saved to your C: drive under user/My Documents/My Games/Twilight of Arnor folder, so you can also just manually edit them there. It's a confusing setup, but that's why the configuration stays the same even after a re-installation.
