Can I burn the digital download onto a DVD?

Would like to have a phyiscal backup

Hello,

I'd like to buy the Ultimate version but the shipping is quite costly for international deliveries. Is it possible to download the game from Stardock, burn it onto a DVD and install it from there?

As an old-fashioned gamer I prefer having my originals available in physical form as well. Especially since I still play some classic games that are many years old (some older than 10 years!) I worry that the activation/download server shuts down in the future someday. In that case it would be fortunate to have a DVD backup available for installing the game.

Also, this would save me future downloads of the full game (my current internet connection is not as fast as it used to be).

Best regards

Landorin

You can create or download an archive with Impulse to store as backup, however it will still require Impulse to later reinstall it; it won't give you a standard installer as you'd find on a retail disc.

To add, Impulse Anywhere is now available which may be closer to what you're looking for.

Are the files listed on Impulse Anywhere updated to the latest release version, or will they need updated to the most recent version after installation?
