If you could only play 3 games this year, what would they be?

  1. Demigod - Just because it's awesome, and the MP rocks.  It really needs no other explanation.
  2. Ghostbusters - This is one of my all-time favorite movies, so the chance to play as a Ghostbuster cannot be passed up.
  3. Battlefield 1943 - I'm a big Battleifled fan, and BF 1942 is one of my favorites, so this arcade style game looks appealing.

Yah, I just got a sweet new card, but if the DRM is intense on Dragon Age: Origins, I'll deal with the Console fail and get on 360.  Not too worried about it being Bad, Bioware is an extremely talented RPG developing company, and if Baldur's Gate is anything to go off, this is going to be the Depth of an MMO without the dipshits playing an MMO.

 

Mass Effect 2, sadly, isn't coming out in 2009, Q1 2010 is the current Date set by Bioware, and since when are games released BEFORE a release date?

 

Starcraft 2: NEVAR, Blizzard lost me at "Lol 3 different games".  touting some bullshit like "We can develop the story further"  which I KNOW is just a ploy to squweeze more money out of us. A shame too, Starcraft is arguably the best RTS ever made (No offense to sins, I think they're totally different game genres)

Empire: TW will make my list once every second or third battle after game launch stops crashing. It's an awesome game, but it shouldn't be doing that with my specs and it's annoying :P

1. Elemental: War of Magic Beta - Looking forward to the beta.  Everything I've seen so far looks great.

2. Demigod - I can easily see myself playing for the rest of the year, beta has been really fun.

3. GalCiv 2 - It just never gets boring and sounds like we'll see a new update before too long.

Also Sins and Starcraft 2 if it makes it out this year.

Demigod - I am lucky enough to be a part of a small group of avid gamers so we LOVE games we can play over LAN and we're all looking forward to adding this one to the list.

 

Dragon Age- Cause I love Bioware games, I still remember Neverwinter Nights fondly.  Though anything they hand off to other companies for sequels tends to turn out badly.

 

Majesty 2 - So long as they don't mess it up.

 

Future games I'm looking forward to:

Elemental: War of Magic (yes you beat out Mass Effect 2 for the top spot, that says something)

Mass Effect 2 - No way Sheppard is dead...right?

Diablo 3 -I love Co-Op games

 

The Game I wish I knew more about-

Elder Scrolls 5 - Don't know it's name or when it's coming but I love the series

2. World of Warcraft:WotlK - Been playing since day 1.  That means I paid $700+ dollars to blizzard, now multiply that by 11 million subscribers.  I wish I can quit you.  Please sell me a lifetime subscription...

3. Starcraft 2 - That's right, more of my money going to blizzard.   For people who mentioned diablo3, no way is diablo3 coming out this year.  Even starcraft 2 is just maybe.

DIABLO 3! ...Yes, I'll build a time machine, and then send the game back in time so that I can play it this year. ;)

 

Actually, I have already planned my three games of the year. ;)

  1. Dawn of War II
  2. Demigod (duh)
  3. Dragon Age: Origins

They're all listed in order of release date and not in order of preference. Demigod will be awesome; it'd be better if they release modding tools. *hint* *hint*

Dawn of War II: I've already purchased it and I enjoy it. It's an RTS without the boring base building... I can't stand the typical RTS design anymore. I will be one of the few gamers without Starcraft II. I've seen the gameplay for SCII and I don't much care for it.

Dragon Age: Origins will be pretty sweet. I'm hoping for Baldur's Gate in 3D. My allies better communicate like they did in BGI & BGII as this was a feature that wasn't in the Neverwinter series; I was so bored when playing the Neverwinter games. :(

Section 8 does looks rather interesting. The GDC coverage of it said it didn't try to do anything too different from shooters in general, but that's not necessarily a bad thing. And the burning in sounds interesting, screw those spawn campers :D
