Okay, here's what you do for this game: You have to "ban" the person who posted above you for an outrageous, silly, or funny reason. Got it?
Banned because I agree that it is wholesome for a relationship, but I think that it needs to be respected more than it is...
Call me crazy, but I have 8 siblings all younger than me, and if any of them started going off on tirades about sex, I would slap them silly.

Banned for fear of being meat-based. Except that admitting you want to slap sibs seems like a step towards being civilized.
Banned again because your semi-prudish response counts just as much as a "tirade about sex" as any attempted cock or tit jokes you might find on these gods-awful intertubes.

A little odd, but perfectly acceptable in social norms.
Banned because of all the people and institutions I have to deal with that are ridiculously obsessed with sex, GW Swicord ranks near the bottom of the list.

Reluctance to confront our animal natures entails far more than cultural baggage about sex. Fear of our meat-based nature is even more annoying when you try to deal with things like health care for people who are nearly finished living.
Banned because being civilized is all about getting over our animal natures...
It seems that our society has been moving away from civilization for a long time...
Banned because that depends entirely on your notion of civilization.
To me, perhaps the single greatest flaw in the historical project has been the tendency our species has to try to set itself fundamentally apart from all the other life forms and nonliving systems around us.
I'm all for ending the Hobbesian Warre of All Against All, but not at the expense of understanding myself as an embodied primate in a world where the vast majority of the planet's biomass is microscopic organisms and the biggest share of complex animal biomass belongs to the insects.
Banned for an incomplete thought. (Can't help it, am grading papers and sniping here for micro-breaks while feeling chained to my keyboard)
Banned for thinking you can't help it and letting your animal nature take swipes at people because you feel grading student papers is such a chore.
Oh, and banned for all the F's I got at school all those years ago.

Banned because I thought part of the reason for this perversely long-lived thread was indulging animal weaknesses.
Also, grading is a chore, but one that I enjoy overall. The swiping is just because of the details of my current chore. I'd make entirely different swipes if I was tuning a boat engine or getting ready to serve a holiday feast.
Banned for having more animal weaknesses than me... but hopefully I'll catch up soon.
