You've needed them ever since the British tried to stomp on you, ever since the Native Americans tried to stomp on you, and ever since the Mexicans tried to stomp on you, and there is every chance that all three groups will try to do that shit again.

Which is why you need as many scoped hand-cannons, anti-materiel rifles, and ammunition for every weapon since the 1700s crammed into your local Walmart.

Banned because I support the right to bear arms for self-defense as well. Just not lethal ones. Not really the framers' fault for once. Nothing like today's arsenal existed back then.

Oh, and I'm iffy on the idea of only allowing non-lethal stuff. I've seen a guy take two hits from a police tazer and get back up. Sometimes it does take more.

My favorite things about him are pretty much everything that keeps him from being a 'real' candidate in the GOP nomination race. The evangelical capitalism I can do without.

Plus, he's a hell of a lot more civil than the other folks running for the nomination. Shame that being reasonable and polite counts so little these days. And an awful shame that more of his fellow Texans don't appreciate his value as a role model for elected officials.

Banned because I used to be a libertarian, and although some of his fundamental assumptions about economics are flawed, Paul is definitely trying to do the right thing. He agrees with my on what to do about the Pentagon, and that's what matters.
