You're Banned!: The Forum Game
Okay, here's what you do for this game: You have to "ban" the person who posted above you for an outrageous, silly, or funny reason. Got it?

Banned because there is a little watering-down. But I think more of what we're seeing is just a differing portrayal of nerds in the outside world, not any change within nerddom itself.
banned for a quarter minute lateness
Banned for general laziness.
Banned for General Faliure:
(Back story: the customer was getting a blue screen of death on their computer.)
Me: “Hello, thank you for calling tech support. How can I help you today?”
Customer: “I was wondering if you could tell me who general failure is and why he is trying to read the C drive on my computer?”
Me: “Ummm…excuse me?”
Customer: “I said that some guy named General Failure is reading my C drive.”
Me: “…How did you come to this conclusion?”
Customer: “When I booted up my computer I get a big blue screen that says “General failure reading drive C,” and I demand to know who this person is!”
Me: *stifling laughter* “Okay, if you don’t mind I am going to place you on hold for about 10 minutes while I do an investigation as to who this person is…”
(I placed customer on hold and told my co-workers. We laughed our asses off for 10 minutes.)
Me: “Thank you for holding. I have some good news and some bad news. The good news is I was able to find some information for you. The bad news is that I wasn’t able to confirm who this ‘General Failure’ is; I am sure he doesn’t work for us. The other thing is that your hard drive is fried, and I would advise you to try to pull any data you can off the drive and invest in a new one. Is there anything else I can do for you today?”
Customer: “Um…no thank you.”
(Customer hangs up and we laugh our asses off some more.)
banned for tormenting the poor customer
Banned, for generally customers attempt to think as little as possible and tormenting them might actually encourage them to get their mind working again rather than being mentally lazy and expecting everyone else to pick up the slack.
banned for attempting to make the peons think
that is what the elite is for
Really, I thought the "elites" were just there to strut their credentials like peacocks strut their feathers. If people actually attempted to use their minds for just one moment the "elites" would suddenly become idiots in comparison. Instead, most people prefer intellectual laziness and the "elites" have no problem with that either since it means they can be lazy too. Oh, and you're banned for implying that there are actually people who are elite.
Banned because I go to an "elite" school. The people there act more like the HALO "Elites".
banned for video game reference
@numerarius5988am - banned for getting the point
banned for making points.
I don't think if stupid people try to think, they'll magically do better than not stupid people. Of course, the line often seems fuzzy anyway. And if credentials are like peacock feathers, they're damn useful. How do you think peacocks get the best mates?
Okay, to point out how backward the 'popular nerd' thing is, I have a wonderful pic...

banned for I need to get that shirt for my wife
Banned because that's a very..........interesting.....picture.
Also, where do you find such shirts? One might be fun for when I get married.......
Banned because I am planning a similar thing, though for the future, as I am not married............yet.
banned for good ideas.
I dunno, you'll have to go google shopping. Meanwhile, the poster is great cause it's both titillating and satirical at the same time. Woot!
banned for titillation
yeah, best lingerie ever
Banned for using words like "titillation" !!!!
By the way, my wife need that shirt too !!!
...
Nah, she would never say that ! She already tells me I'm a nerd all the time and it's bad enough for her ... :'(
Banned because you got karma somehow. I'm sure it was just the forums glitching up again....
banned for being a negative nilly
Banned for "nilly".
Banned because I just upgraded Firefox and met up with that guy I'm doing the stats project with.
Banned for just not using Opera in the first place.
banned for I don't know Opera. Probably don't care either.
Correct: 'Banned for not just using Opera in the first place.'
Concise: 'Banned for not using Opera in the first place.'
Minimalist: 'Banned for not using Opera.'
Caveman: 'Me ban.' (This statement precedes the use of a large, blunt object)
Banned because your "Minimalist" is the concise one. A true minimalist would beat the caveman with a simple "Banned."

Banned for B.
