Custom Race bug

I made a custom race, and named them Iconian Refuge, not very original I know :P But now, when I create a new game and select them as my race, they have the stats and super ability of the regular Iconian Refuge, which is not what I gave them, and when I click next, it makes me choose the regular Iconian Refuge as my race. How can I get rid of this custom race so that I can make new custom races if I can't select them?

Edit: in the metaverse game, it does let me select the custom race, if I try to proceed however it says this race template is invalid, please use the clear button to restore to the default template and then recreate using the race customization screen. If I clear the custom race, it goes to the normal Iconian Refuge screen, and if I go back to the race select screen the custom race isn't cleared.

I tried editing the custom race in D:\Program Files\Stardock Games\Twilight\Data\English\RaceConfig.xml, but it doesn't show the race I made in there, it just says custom race with no points spent and the minor race tech tree which is not what I used.

The custom races are saved in your \My Documents\My Games\ folder under the appropriate GC2 folder, as <racename>.raceconfigxml, which is simply a rename of .xml.

I would suggest renaming your race, though.
