Few questions from a newbie

Hi all :). I've played Masters of Orion 2 before and loved it. From reading about Gal Civ2 I can see that they are very similar. Now, I have few questions:

1. Is it worth getting this game if I already own MOO2? (I mean gameplay sounds similar, the only diff are graphiscs)

2. If I get Ultimate Edition with all of the expansions, do I get them with the latest updates at the time of print?

3.  It seems like a silly question, but if I order through Stardock the version that includes the retail box do I actually get hardcopy of the game on the DVD? (I just want to be sure)

4. If I install the original Galciv2 and all of the expansions, do all of the improvements and new features that you get in the latest expansion also transfer to the original Gal2 and earlier expansion?

Thanks for your answers

Yes.

Yes, but new patches are somewhat continually being released (some would say too often).

Yes, you will get a hard copy, if you so choose-TA doesn't have a box, and I don't recall if DL and DA ship with boxes, or just with the CD, but in either case, yes.

No, they're essentially standalone in their own right.  You can however play the DL campaign from TA or DA, and the DA campaign from TA.

If you get the Ultimate Edition, it now comes with a disk and box.
