Button Display Issues

I have dread lords installed with all updates, as I'd bought GCII the other day, and noticed the buttons were all displaying incorrectly.

Bought all 3 versions hoping that the issue was something addressed in patches, but apparently not.

For instance, the turn button, anything regarding a button on a popup event window, and other background windows like (when you have a decision to make when colonizing a planet).

My latest video drivers have been installed, and that also did not solve the problem.

Is there an option somewhere to switch to a solid background on these? It looks as if perhaps they are still shaded, but the background is coming up transparent.

Any suggestions you have would be appreciated... as I look forward to playing over the weekend, and really hope I don't have to go looking for the indentation where the "OK" button should be.
