Surrendered/Destroyed Civilization - Losing Spies

Not sure if this is address or reported:

I had spies in place of certain races to get intelligence information (levels). And in the process of an Ai civ surrendering or being destroyed, if I did not remove my spies before then, those spies are lost and I can no longer use them for any other purpose. They're just "lost/gone".

Will there be a fix for this?

They aren't lost, if you had enough on the race to still be able to gain intel levels on them in time, you'll continue to climb to that max.  It's odd to get that message a few weeks after a race's demise.

I've reported it a while back, it was said it'll be in the next patch (this was after 2.02 was already out).

It makes some sense, though, that your spies were mistaken for loyal members of the destroyed race and were killed during battle or imprisoned/"disappeared" after surrender.

The spies are not dead.  They continue to collect info on the dead civ.  It would make more sense if they collect data on the conqueror civ.

Even if the conquering race is you?

Moot topic as it is to be fixed in the next patch, per a response from SD.
