Question about ship design

I just recently picked up the Ultimate Bundle; I ran DL Gold Edition before that.  Anyweay, what annoys me is how large the ship componets take up now.  The slower tech rate can be easily fixed; but it seems like ship engines, weapons, defenses take up double the space, if not more......is there a way to, in essence, go back to DL in some sort of mod?

No such mod exists, but if you open up the GC2_types.xml and cut the number in both the <size> and <sizemod> fields in half, you will get what you want.

Thank you for the reply.  Found the file, but it appears that I would have to change every item.....I feel like an idiot, lol
