Can I download and copy to a disk ?

I lost my game in a fire (FOR Real!!!)

Can I download the game using my cd key and copy it to a disk istead of just having it install right to the hardrive?

Any info would be greatly appreciated. thank you...:(

There is a way to do this.   There is an activation or packaging system.  You would still have to copy over impulse to unpack it, but you can do it.     If you go to impulse, its under the file/stardock button.  I think it might be called "archive" or something like that.  I can look it up when I get home.   It packs up saved games too, which is why I know.  I did it when I installed win 7 with GalCiv 2

Yeah like landisaurus said, there's a download and archive option in Impulse (check blue orb > preferences > folders for default archive location). You can then copy the archive on a disk, and then use Impulse to restore it again.

Impulse isn't a separate company. It's our store website and download manager app.

The easiest way is to open explorer, go to where you have the games (usually c:\program files\stardock\) right-click, send-to, click dvd burner and then follow on-screen instructions.
