Curious Morale Resource Issue

Gentlemen,

I've just taken over two brand new morale resources and thrown constructors at them until I got the mining bonuses to +39. Yet doing so did not affect the approval rate upon my planets....it was 74% before on my worst planet, it is still 74% now. I waited a round to see if things needed a round to pass in order to improve. No improvement. This is disappinting for two reasons. The first is that I hoped to raise my base approval across all my planets so I could comfortably raise taxes. The second is that I obviously don't understand what the moral mining resource does.

Can anyone enlighten me?

That's odd.  Did you attempt to force it to reset by messing with your domestic sliders?

I assume this is in TA 2.02?

Edit: Silly me.

Force it to recognize it by opening your stats & graphs screen in Civ Manager.

It's your empire approval that doesn't update until you fiddle with the sliders.

Wait....I hardly ever fiddle with my sliders in the endgame....you're saying that it is sometimes necessary to do so to force a change?

End of clanlindsey's quote

Any domestic policy slider should do it, actually, but it may only be taxation, which you stated you were going to change because morale had increased.

:)

And that's only to update empire-wide approval after such a change...the planetary approval updates when you force the stats & graphs to update by opening it.
