bootskin version

Am new on here. Installed bootskin pro. Downloaded some skins applied windy willows, everything says has been applied and installed correctly, however on restart nothing has changed, still get windows default. the version is 1.01.038, now if you go into bootskin pro and click on about it says 1.01.024, also not every time I have message this version is incompatible, am slightly confused, am not a beginner but not experianced either. Could someone help please. Have windows vista home premium 64 bit version. Have put a ticket in, thought i would use the forum as well. Thanks in advance.

Someone correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe beta version of certain Stardock applications for 64bit OSes can only be downloaded via Stardock Central, the precursor to Impulse.

Have sdc but on entering it there is no programme called bootskin pro on it ( talking about object desktop. )
