Problem with getting bonuses from trade goods

There is apparently a bug in the game with the bonus you get to speed when trading for the Gravity Accelerators. On this thread:  https://forums.galciv2.com/335137 Sole Soul ran a test and confirmed that the bonus wasn't granted.

I would be curious too if any bonuses are given when you get trade goods from other races. Or if the AI has gotten them from me. This last part is easy enough to test though, and i think i will.

Can anyone give answers to this?

I have found some civ wide bonus difficulties myself.  Try checking the item yourself with the editor to make sure it is being told to provide the bonus.  Obviously that is no permenant fix if you want to do metaverse games.  I think bonuses are buggy I can't seem to get trade bonuses to work from items built, in fact several trade goods have acted up for me from time to time too.  I don't see any bonus added on the bonus screen.  You are talking about an easily noticed bonus try some of the other goods out.  I think to get it working I had to delete my old copy (of the .xml which showed alright when viewed in the editor as giving bonuses) and replace it.   I then just gave up trying to make new buildings with new bonuses because it was after that I noticed no bonuses for anything were working.

The issue is that the Gravity Accelerators provide the bonus when the player builds them, but not when the player trades for them from the AI.  Presumably, it's also not providing the bonus when one AI gets it from another.  This is in fact from my perspective a very weird bug and I regret not having had or taken the time yet to look into the trade goods in more detail to ensure that Gravity Accelerators are the only one affected.
