After I bought GalCiv 2 EU some weeks ago, I started playing the campaigns.

DA coming before TA, I started with the DA campaign, but within TA.

At some point in the later missions I encountered a strange problem.

The "Ultimate diabolical research" tech seems to be in the tech tree 2 time.

Once after completing "imaginative research", the second time it's there without prerequisits.

The first one just gives you acces to the next lab, the second one however in addition gives quite a lot of nice bonuses but is pretty expensive.

Now, when I first completed the "regular" UDR after IR, all my research labs upgraded to the "ultimate slaveling lab".

However, I couldn't build any new ones. No research buildings showed up in the list.

Only after I had researched the second UDR tech I could build any new labs again.

Has anyone else noticed this? Is it possible that it is due to a bad translation of the spreadsheets? (I'm playing the german version)
