Just finished Arcea's Last Stand with a score of 13,250 on painful.  Forgot to change Lord Vega to my handle.

Here are some fun pictures.

Not sure how to maximize score, But I got all the techs except the last three for a tech win.  There are 5 terror stars, and I destroyed the Drengin's solar system prior to ascending.  Note that the after his system was destroyed, it left asteroids, which my spaceminers on auto-improve pleasantly upgraded to the best mines without my asking.  One of the photos shows the best ship I could create, The Excalibur, um, M36 I believe.  I'm not sure if the game got posted in the Tournament scores.  I could have built a Starbase array, just a hassle with all the improvement dialogs.

My goal in the game was to see how many techs I could research prior to ascending, as well as getting the Drengin to surrender.  They would not accept a peace treaty even after I destroyed his solar system.  I also wanted to see if I could win an influence victory without building influence starbases.  I built every "wonder" available, including Galactic showcase, and I still couldn't get my influence around his last planet.  Also, what was weird is that I sabotaged every improvement he had on all planets and he still built defenders and even a battleship.  Not sure how he does this.

Cheers.

You can't sabotage the initial colony/civilization capital, at a minimum.  There are other buildings that are immune to spies as well, if memory serves.

Additionally, the AI has a habit where it will rush buy as much of a ship it can afford, depending on how much expanding it is doing.  When it's down to the last planet, they'll be rush buying a ship almost as fast as you kill them, in an attempt to protect themselves.
