Newbie Here, Question about Add Ons

from GalCiv2 Forums

Just got GalCiv II, wondering which addons from the libraries are recommended.  Specifically stuff concerning building custom ship designs.  Jewlery, parts, module.  Also anything else recommended.  I have the original game only, (Dread Lords) no expansions yest.

As to your question about recommended Mods - I look into it and see what information I can find. I'll have a reponse for you by the end of the day.

Hey Simon - I've spent some time looking through the entire DL section of the Library and I've got a few downloads that you could try out. Whether they work or not - I would assume they do, otherwise they probably wouldn't be on there, but if they don't - sorry. The links are:

SHWM - This Mod lets you use weapons and modules as jewelry (they don't actually count as weapons).

Smaller Fighters, Larger Battleships - Just like the title says - You get to put more stuff on your ships.

USM Ship Pack #1 - Contains a bunch of Base Hulls that let you expand upon them anyway you want to in game.
