Registering my Product

NOOB QUESTION

from GalCiv2 Forums

I recently got Galactic Civilizations 2: Ultimate edition from a reliable dealer. The serial number is unused and the game is in perfect working order. Brand new of the shelves in other words.

But for some reason I can't get it to register, I'm not sure if it's something i'm doing wrong or not. All i know is that Stardock's 'Impulse' program is meant to register it to my account but so far It has failed to register it. I'm posting up a screen shot of what happened when I tried to register.

Can someone give me Step by step instructions on how to register my version of galciv2. If you tell me to refer to the manual I should inform you in advance that I have already done so and was unable to find any reference to registration.

Endless Universe is updateable (to my knowledge), but Ultimate Edition is not at present.  They're working on it.

Well I am grateful for that piece of information. I was beginning to think my game was a dud. SO Universe hasn't been inserted Into Impulse for Distribution reasons between the 2 companies. Well I'm good with that, i'll wait it out and use the time to build myself a custom race. I just wanted to register it so I could make myself characters for 2 empires i'm joining.

on another note you might want to drop the recoloring of text since there is different color schemes available for browsing the forums which may make your text hard to read

just a suggestion though .
