Cannot add GC II Registration on Impulse

Okie, I'llmake it quick....

I've been having problems with the game crashing whenever I go into the ship creator and click on the chassis. (No, your in the right thread, its just how this all started.) Since I'm playing with both DA and TotA, i think its because I havent updated GCII.

So I go to Impulse and try to add the registration for GCII. I put in the code and the email, and select the info from the sliders (Games--->Galactic Civ 2). When I clicked the finished button I got the following message....

 

"Product Registration Failed: The email adress or serial number you have entered is invalid. Check to make you sure you have entered the correct information. (ref. 204)"

 

Now I know my email is right, and I have done the code over at least 30 times trying all the varations of whats on my jewelcase, and its the same thing each time.

 

If anyone know how to fix this problem (or the ship creater one) could you please let me know?

I have a very similar problem with my GC2:TA. After upgrading to 2.02 it asked me to (re-)activate and it always fails, stating that I should check the serial number. The log also says something about a "failed HttpSendRequest", so I think, it's a problem on Stardock's end (esp. since you have a very similar problem). I already contacted support but haven't heard back from them yet.

I had a registration problem in Impulse too. I solved it by installing TA from Stardock Central (registers the game), and then I upgraded the already registered game from Impulse to the latest version.

For me, I just bought TotA, and now when I try to download it off of Impulse, it stops after a minute or so, saying, "Object reference is not set to an instance of an object." What The Frog does that mean? I also cant register Galciv2 or Galciv2: DA, cuz I get the same message when I try to register it. Does this have something to do with that I bought Galciv2 and DA together in the gold pack, and then downloaded TotA seperately? Really, this is bugging me.

The Stardock root database server had a hardware crash on Christmas eve.
