Twilight of Arnor Startup Crash

Crash after opening Cinema

from GalCiv2 Forums

I recently purchased Twilight of Arnor for GCII.  I had GCII gold edition before the purchase.  When I initially went to digitally download the Impulse could not locate my gold edition game.  I re-downloaded GCII and DL; then downloaded ToA.

 

Unfortunately ToA would crash after the opening Cinema and I could not fix it.  I’ve seen other individuals with the same issue but there was not resolution.

 

Good news; I just got the game to work.  I had to uninstall, clear everything out and reinstall all three games in delayed succession.  I’ve uninstalled and reinstalled the game repeatedly with my firewall down and antivirus off.  The trick for me was waiting 15 – 20 minutes between installs.

 

So if anyone ever has this problem here is one solution that just happened to work for me with the varying process component.

 

Hope this helps anyone who ends up having this problem.
