Can't Register Legitimate New Code (GC2 Ultimate Edition)

I've purchased a legitimate new copy of Galactic Civilizations 2 - Ultimate Edition from Amazon UK.

 

It has what appears to be a legitimate code which is accpeted when I install the game. However, Impulse is not recognising it or accepting it when I try to add a registration, It is saying it is not a proper Stardock code.

 

Anyone have any advise on how to fix this please ? I don't want to play it until I have it patched. This is not a Collectors Edition and is a Stardock / Kalypso version.

GC2 Ultimate Edition is not yet supported on impulse (which is why you can't register)

but it will be soon according to stardock's employees

GC2 UL support is expected to come at the same time as GC2 EU (Endless Universe)

Disappointing news; I don't want to play it until I can apply the latest patches.

I wouldn't go that far.  It's still a great game even if it's not the latest version.  Also, we don't have any indications as to how long it might be, so you may be waiting some time.

According to this message, the 2.0 update for EU & UE should arrive very shortly
