Moving custom DA ships to TA (If possible)

Probably going to get a quick no on this, but just need to know if it's possible to move ships created in DA over to TA at all. Asking since I created a lot of interesting designs I was proud of over in DA, but never made their own ship category choice, and all such. Also not running v2.0 on TA yet since my 56k connect takes forever with Impulse. Not sure if it matters, but wanted to mention.

If there's a link that 'can' help, I'd appreciate it. Not looking for anything heavy, just something a basic ship designer can understand. Any help or answers are appreciated in advance.

Also wondering if the Ship Config creation thing works the same way in TA as it did/does in DA. Thanks again in advance.

If you're running 1.96, 2.0 should be something like a 5-8MB update...even on 56k, this should only take a half hour at most.

I'm under the impression hardpoint attach spots changed from DA to TA (something like that), so the short version is DA ships may technically work, but they'll look like shit.  It's more likely they won't work, though.

I don't know if there's a converter somewhere, but I do know SD hasn't made one.

Ship creation works the same way, as far as I am aware-I don't believe there have been any significant changes to this since DL, except apart from adding new components.

Well, the format is still the same, so they *will* load, but yeah, if they use parts that have been fixed or tweaked, they may look mangled. Some people have gone so far as to copy the old models back over the new ones (and re-add the new ones as a mod), but I don't think there are any batch scripts or mods publicly released that do that.

oKay, Kryo... how about a brand new version of the usual KHSM_C (for converting any such precious designs in everyone's pool of favorite DA ships!)??

One can always wish or suggest *it* even if i DO understand the extensive work necessary just to evaluate or find proper (or near enough, btw) equivalents for all parts & elements.
