TA failed to update to v2.0 via Impulse?

I installed the TA 2.0 update via impulse, but when I run the game it still sais it's  v1.96.  The option to upgrade to 2.0 is now absent in Impulse like it thinks the update was successful, except it didn't work and I can't get it to run v2.0? 

 

Will I need to uninstall TA and reinstall from scratch to fix this?

Probably, unfortunately.

Fortunately, TA is relatively small-only about 350MB (only took me about an hour and a half on my horrible 768kbit connection).

Are you seeing the new features ingame, such as the new spying system and the events/extreme habitable planets sliders?  I would expect not, but just checking.

before reinstalling I would check out if DA 2.0 works and if DL works too

better to check it out now before realizing that the problem lies elsewhere, even if I doubt it ...

No I was not seeing any new features.  I uninstalled GalCiv 2 and both expansions, then re-installed from scratch...seemed to fix the problem.
