TA 2.0 Tech editor bugged

Copy Terran's tech tree file.

Rename the file.

Open it in the tech editor.

Change the name of the tech, both internally, and display.

Save the tech.

Start a new game using a custom race with the new tech tree you just made.

Watch the crash.

 

(Editing the xml file, the new tech tree, manually with a text editor doesn't cause the crash).

Anyway, I did a file compare using a 3rd party utility.  Inexplicably, Stardock's tech editor added this to Adamantium armour:

 

<Requires>Adamantium Armour II</Requires>

 

That was causing the crash.

 

Remember, all I did was open Terran's tech tree, rename it and save.

if you don't like the stardock tech editor, you can always download GalCiv2 IDE: http://www.i-mod-productions.com/downloads.php?do=file&id=9&act=down
