is there any way to update to version 2.0 without using impulse?

I can't get the impulse installer to work. It keeps giving me an error message about being unable to extract the downloaded zip file. I've noticed SD Central doesn't have 2.0 yet. I am running xp on a P4 if that makes any difference.

Impulse is the only distribution point for the 2.0 update.  If you're having trouble with Impulse, I suggest emailing [email protected] with as much detail as possible so they can fix your Impulse issues.

Currently, there are no plans to release 2.0 on SDC (due to technical limitations of the SDC software)

no it's not possible

though stardock team is encouraging players to contact support/forums for sorting out their problems with 2.0

 

2.0 is basically a freebie, sort of a bonus only available to impulse

I guess it could be understood as a way to encourage players to move to impulse from SDC, since SDC will be dropped overtime

You might want to check your available disk space to be sure you have enough free space to decompress the files...
