I am trying to figure out what is going on here. I am having the trouble with the latest version of DA 2.0xx.
Running on a 6 month old Dell with Vista SP1. 3 gig memory.
I moved the game to my old XP SP2 computer with 1 gig mem. With DA 1.80g. No problems. Ship icons show up on every move in my mid to late game. Now I believe I was having the same problem on my newer computer using 1.80g (if that was the last major revision prior to 2.0.) Now I don't seem to have any problems running other programs on my newer Vista computer. But right now for me at least the difference seems to be XP vs. Vista. I don't hate Vista like some people. But...
I have seen others complain of this problem. But not a lot. It looks like Impulse archived 1.80g when I installed 2.0 on my newer computer. I tried to restore it but it says it cannot. Maybe that is because I have the newest TA installed.
I may have to trash TA to play DA and go back to an even earlier version of DA to play on my new computer.
