Planetary Governor Build Queue--How does it work?

I've been playing DA for a long time and just started TA.  I've been waiting for planetary build queues for a long time.

Can't figure how to get it working.  This is how I start.  On the planetary governor screen, I give a name to the queue on the left side.  Then I double click on building.  Say, three factories.  They show up on the right.  I click on either "new" or "all."

What I am expecting is that when I land on a new planet, the queue will go into effect and that it will build three factories.  So far, it's not happening.  Maybe I need to do more or maybe I don't understand the concept.

You need to set the governor for the planet in question.  You can do this from the planetary details screen, or, moderately more conveniently, by using Ctrl + P when you have said planet selected.

Although the shortcut works when in the colony list, the window, at last check, popped up underneath the list, making it about useless.  You should however be able to use it from the planet list via F1 or thereabouts.

"new" and "all" are equivalent to your build queue when you're in a planet screen; they have nothing to do with what planets it applies to.  You may also be neglecting to save your governor, but that much I would doubt.

What is the difference then between new and all?

I was hoping that the queue would be automatic, say, for new planets without having to turn it on.

No such luck.

The difference is in the improvement list shown for you to build-new shows your current tech level, while all shows everything.  The new/all improvement system was an update that came with DA-I don't understand how you could have missed this.

Yeah, I get it now.  I just didn't immediately get it in the governor's queue because I was expecting something else.

I was expecting an automatic queue that you could set up for new planets.

Perhaps what we have is semi-automatic.  You have to pull the trigger for each planet.  Now if it was easier...

Never mind.

Yeah it would honestly make more sense for the different planetary governors to be available as a tab on the buildings list, since they build whole groups of buildings.  But I put that suggestions forward too late in the beta. :(

It´s probably dumb question, but still. I have really problem with making queues. In first post is written:

"Then, I double click on building. Thye show on the right."

Problem is, even if I click many times, nothing. I can´t make this.

Any idea? Thanks for ansvers.

Been playing v1.2 till I upgraded with both DA and ToA yesterday. Found out today I can screw the game by deleting a governor without removing it from all planets. Problem is, game don't crash 'till you attempt to save, at which point I lost everything. Where do I report this error to have it addressed in possible future updates???

Also, why don't this thread appear when I search the forums for "Governor"???
