Hi,
I just posted this, but I think it was in the wrong forum:
I just d/led both GalCiv II expansion packs, and they appear to have installed ok, but when I try to run the game I get an error:
"The product appears to be validated but the serial number or the machine SID don't match"
What's up with this?

No worries at all! For anyone that also has the same trouble you can click on the link for the full explanation.
The short answer is that if you reformat you change information on your computer that your activation code uses to create the activation code. Thus a sig.bin from another machine or a different install of Windows will not work on a second machine or a different install. You have to create a new file to activate your product again. I hope that clears the trouble up for people. Please let me know if you have further questions.
