Is there a good place to learn about using DesktopX to modify the interface for Galactic Civilizations II?

It's mentioned in the FAQ, and I've tried using it a bit, but other than moving some things around, I haven't been able to actually do anything, y'know, useful.

pretty much all you can do is change the organization of the screens without adding anything new (you can remove things though). You can change the way everything looks. Make sure not to change the names of any objects!

you can change the images for each object by right clicking on the object and click 'properties.' from there you can go to 'states' to change the images for each of the object's states or you can go to 'summary' where you can put positioning code (certain VB script commands) into the 'comments' box. that's all i can think of offhand!

So, fundamentally, the reason I couldn't figure out how to do anything useful is that there's not as much useful that you can do from there as I was hoping, more like skinning than design per se - {G}.

On the one hand, it's good to know that I'm not just stupid, on the other - I was kinda hoping to see if you could change a few things - the information in this game goes into depth, and I'd really love to be able to organize some things better so you could compare stuff better.

Ah well. Thanks for the link maybe I'll have a brilliant insight.
