iPod Touch is Here!

A couple of months ago I won an iPod Touch in a contest.  Just when I was getting to the point of thinking it would never come, it finally showed up.  It’s an 8GB 1st gen iPod Touch.

iPod Touch

Now comes the time to choose if I should sell it.

Same here. 1st generation 16gb. I love it almost as much as I love my Mac, especially with the 3rd-party apps.

Hey ID, don't you already have an iPhone? The Touch is just a stripped form of the iPhone, you know.

What are your reasons for and against? :P

So does this mean you may also consider giving it away since you probably don't really need it and don't probably need the extra money? XD

Idon't support Obama's ideas of giving money away for free but I do believe in charity. LOL

Yeah, that's why I'm thinking about selling it.  No real use for it.

Sounds like a no brainer :) Unless you just like collecting all sorts of gadgets you barely use :P

I like my 32gb iPod Touch 2nd generation.  It replaced a 16gb 2nd gen unit that I passed onto my young one.  Both are great little units, though I wish I could make complete use of the wireless functions when I'm at work (technically I can, but by policy I'm not supposed to use the wireless network at work for non-work purposes).

Anyway, ID, you'll probably find a buyer pretty quick if you put that Touch up on either Amazon.com or eBay.  (Personally I'd recommend Amazon only because there tends to be less hassle selling there, though both rip off sellers for too many fees and too much for their share of the total sale price....)

I consider my iPod Touch (16gb first gen) to be the single greatest thing I've EVER bought. I would go as far as to say I couldn't live without it. Not just the music and video, but the apps etc...

I had MP3 players before, in fact I had a media player that played music, video, has a radio, camera etc... I was lusting after the iPod for a while. Finally justified it to myself when my media player had a mishap and fell literally 3 inches to a carpeted floor and the screen broke! Got the iPod last Christmas and have loved it ever since.

Just seeing the picture of that box makes me think back to opening it on Christmas day. Ah, memories.

Sell it and buy something nice for the daughters or wife.  They'll last longer.  :)

Sell it while it's still worth something, these fad tech-toys don't hold up for long. You can get a device that will do everything you actually want it to for a fraction of the price, and spend the rest on anything you like.

I say sell it for about $200. You can buy the new 8 Gig 2nd Gen iPod Touches for that (16 GB is only $100 more!). But you may wanna hold on to that money, though, as everything is expensive nowadays...
