I am afraid she just doesnt do it for me.....

Dont get me wrong, give me a couple of beers and if she begged, sure, but other than that she just doesnt pop my cork.

We are off to Baltimore for Memorial weekend (sort of like Anzac day here in the US) so not much play will get done.

I have started 3 gigantic games, got to the mid point and lost interest. I will try and stay focused :P

bah finished a challenging gigantic game - beyond human and 2 trillion pop and only got 1600 or so points :(

Probably could have got more but I was tired and jsut wanted it to end :)

Greg. I had 3 trillian pop and only got 2200. Problem is, if I run up pop to get the big score, my games destabilize and crash.

Would you look at the amount of posts on the G.R.O.S.S. Communication thread... If they weren't one place behind us on the metaverse I'd be saying they're all talk and no action... but then, they're ONE PLACE behind us...

Hey 4D - I'm with you, but if you've caught any of the discussion on other threads about Metaverse scoring, you'd realise it's time to chill about the scoring situation. It seems some players have not only been milking scores, but submitting games that have been hacked or modded to add to their Metaverse score. I've been busy lately (and am not a great player anyway) - but I'd sit back and just enjoy being part of the ANZAC crew. Lets's keep going for fun, sure, but don't get toooooo stressed.... :HOT:

We are coming. You wonder how we got on your 6 so fast. You cannot fathom how you could have fallen into our sights. But all you can think of now, is "They are coming." Cringe in fear Anzac. :) Our lil survey ship of doom is bearing down on you with space man spiff at the helm. Charge our Death Ray Zorchers Hobbes. Break out the transmorgifrier. We will be closing into target range soon.

Greg, I think the difference between 3 and 4 trill is minimal. Especially since you were on norm and I was on challenging. My tough game got me only 400 more points than the challenging one. Pffft. Not worth that little a difference to up difficulty.

Its' not too hard to work out - both GROSS and, to a lesser extent, ANZAC ride on the coat tails of one high scoring player - Staffa in their case, Cataleptic in ours.

GROSS recruits aggressively, the EU is having some player issues (e.g. at least one player has "defected" from EU to GROSS) which impact on its placement etc.

I like the empire and metaverse system, it keeps me playing to finish games (which has always been my weakness - I mean if its obvious you are going to win why bother seeing it through?)

I got slightly more points for a "normal " giagantic tech win than for a "challenging gigantic tech win. But I think the main contributing factor was I ended to "challenging" one simply because it was getting late (well after 11pm) and so I just wanted to go to bed. So pop was the big difference rather than difficulty.

I fought zero wars - I mean I whiped out 4 minor civs but I made sure they were all one-turn wars and I made sure I got all the trade goods (I missed tri-whatever metals but I traded for them).

One of their top scoring guys was playing version 1.02 and got most of his scores toasted on the reworking.

No doubt Chris will lose some points sooner or later for the same reason so dont gloat too soon!!!

1.04 is an interesting change with much more expsnive and less valuable trade goods. However, Aprodisiacs gives a 50% increase to pop growth so they have upped the value as well.
