Galactic Civilizations 2 - Ultimate Edition

Sorry to resurrect an old thread but since i am interested in buying the ultimate pack for GalCiv2 i would also like to know if this ultimate edition is the same as the one on Stardock Store (GC2, DA and ToA) and if we can register it with our impulse account (to have the automatic updates etc.). I am the kind of person who likes boxed games so if i can get one for the ultimate pack, i would gladly buy it. If not, well, i'll have to buy the digital only version.

Kalypso bought the rights to DL from Paradox. So I believe they're now doing a package with all three, probably to replace the previous DA-TA standalone they had.

It's not the same thing as the one on the store (the one there is a EU-only retail box, ours is just a discount bundle of the direct-downloads), but they do both include all three games and can be updated through Impulse.

Okay. Thanks for the quick answer. Last questions : is there any difference of content between the downloaded version and the boxed one from Kalypso? Do you know if there is any kind of copy protection in the EU retail box (i guess not but i prefer to be sure)?

Sorry to rez this thread, but I have a question regarding the Ultimate Edition.

I bought the Ultimate Edition and have it installed. Awesome set of games; a good compliment to SOASE!

However, I can't seem to get them to update via Impulse. I've searched for updates, but I don't get any game details/information like I do with SOASE in the right hand column (installed version, size etc). At the moment, the game versions are:

v1.52 for Dread Lords, v1.82 for Dark Avatar and v1.97 for Twilight of the Arnor.

I'm trying to download and install the Galactic Civilizations II 2.0 patch, which I hear is fantastic, but I can't seem to do it. Does anyone with the Ultimate Edition know how to download and install the patch via Impulse, since I've scanned for updates and it says none were found, which is wrong?

I've found the option in Impulse to register the games. The games are individually listed, but there is no Ultimate Edition option. And since I have the Ultimate Edition, I only have one serial number. Do I use this one number for all three registration options (DL, DA, TotA) or do I do something different? Thanks
