With the process of implementing more ships through my teammates, I focus on giving them the lil extra, Light and Bump Maps.

Somehow I feel the ships do not look as good as in X3? But I still can't wait for the mod. :drool: You better hurry, or when X3 Terran Conflict come out, I might neglect your mod. XD

You are right, the ships aren't that hiqh quality then in X3, it's not possible to do that

(I fear to say that, but the GC2 engine is in case of graphics, less good then the X3 one)

But me and my team try to convert them as best as possible ;)

But ships in X3 aren't as freely designable either. ;)

And frankly, 95% of the time I play in icon mode anyway, just zooming in for key battles or when I want to admire the view. For the shipyard, however, the graphics are just fine.

 

 

By the way, can anyone explain why a design called 'Barracuda' looks like a Manta Ray?

Well it seems  have to do a little workaround, as the shipclasses get no the right icon, but that's hardcoded. I will work around it, will post it the next days.

this is the latest workout of the Map Icons, some are not replaced by the new one, I have to find out why.

Excellent work. It almost looks like entirely new game simply based on the GC2 engine. That, of course, is the whole purpose behind total conversions. :)
