As an aside, I've actually had thoughts like this when I've been in a half-awake in bed in the morning sometimes, like:  "My gf broke up with me, but I'll just reload from last Thursday!"  Maybe my grip on reality is weak...     Kind of similar to when you play a game so much that you're still playing it in your dreams when you go to sleep.

Or when you erase something from an actual piece of paper and think you can "undo" when you change yoiur mind. The thought has actually happened to me before i realizedf that actual events can't be undone.
