I just want express my big thanks to SDC for providing a highly efficient and swift fresh install of everything (DL/DA/TA + all updates) onto my new PC yesterday evening.
About 45 Minutes - pouf - all done. No fuss, no gimmicks.
The site detected my presence, as logged, cookies dropped & verified, validating code entered.
All archived in the usual backup folder.
650k speeds on average.
Bang... on Vista and -*-almost ready to go-*-.
See, i hate LCD angles. Huge difference between the 22" and the old 16-CRT i had that's for sure. Much effort will have to be invested into gamma & contrast adjustments to get at least close enough to what feels "right" or seem correct visually.
The rotating 3D_effect by scroll middle button function couldn't get picked up by the silly cheap stock Acer optical mouse (i might have to blame the Logitech-SetPoint driver for this, i guess or some earlier OEM VistaHP installation errors made by the store "technician"). So i wired the reliable Dynex. Nobody should be without one. It's really spinning, wow.
The fonts seemed different and i have to wonder if Vista grabbed them from your installer.
Looped all my mods and temporary assets into their respective proper locations.
Bang again... all good & ready.
A bunch of 'Disables' Interface_Video options got the untick treatment.
Now, i understand what Hyperwrap speed can do to a shipyard and how easy it is click, tag, attach all & any components via fast and precise Hard-Points. In that case, size matters. Full 3d control, how it should be. Make the Pitch/Yaw/Tilt balls twice as big, gimme control over numeric (% driven) re-sizing bar - and, you've got yourself another happy gamer. Throw in Green & Blue HardPoints as a bonus. I'm in paradise.
Bang... good timing, i say. Since, that will certainly cut work on the entire X-Worlds ships & Fleets design task by a whole 80% - maybe more.
TK. and many Kudos. Next stop, Impulse.
Version 2? Now, i am ready for anything, lemme tell you.
