suggestion- lower the Drengin music volume a tad :)

My wife came running in thinking i was blaring some horror movie, specifically "Phantom of the Opera."

It is alot louder than the other alien music. Odd.

Yep, the Drengin 'musical assault' is why I rarely leave the music on for this game. You can barely hear the other races' themes at the same volume the Drengin one leaves you with temporary hearing loss.

I think the Drengin music is the only one of the 5 worth listening to. The others all sound rather goofy, especially the Torians.

The Torians? You know, for a race bent on wiping out all organic life, the Yor sure do have a calming theme. Sounds REALLY weird!

Well, the Torian's sounds like a tune from a children's song, IMO.

I agree the Yor theme doesn't fit the race description at all.

Vanir: I think you missed the point. We were not complaining about the music itself, but the fact it is louder than all the others. I agree, I think it is very fitting music for the race, it's just too loud compared to the other music.

I agree. Drengin theme music is too loud compared to the others.

The Yor theme is nice, but seems misplaced somehow. I view them as menacing 'Borg' types but the music makes them seem more harmless, like C3PO and R2D2 wandering aimlessly through the desert.

you can copy another race's music file and rename it to the drengin music file.

...GalCiv\galciv\Event Music

play the race mp3s till you find the drengin one, delete it and copy one of the others. problem solved.
